

About the Therapist
Angela Rusk, LMFT, LPC-MHSP
Angela believes that change is possible. In her over fifteen years of practice with children and adults, she has seen clients learn new skills, heal from trauma, improve relationships, and achieve new levels of health and well-being. Angela uses evidenced-based practices within the context of a supportive and non-judgmental relationship to facilitate change.
Angela's approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral, set within Family Systems Theory. This means that she will focus on helping you find practical tools to reach your goals, while recognizing the importance of the impact of the family and community in which you live.

Angela is dually licensed in the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider. She earned B.A. degrees in Spanish and Youth and Family Ministry from Harding University in Searcy, AR, before earning her M.A. in Counseling from Harding School of Theology in Memphis, TN, in 2008.

As a therapist, Angela has had the opportunity to work with clients facing a wide variety of challenges. She has provided individual, family, and group therapy, taught parenting classes, and engaged in public speaking events in the community.Angela works to ensure that her practice is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive. Angela is bilingual, and offers all services in both English and Spanish.

When not in session, Angela enjoys exploring the world. She may be found listening to music at one of Memphis's many local festivals, hiking in nature, or traveling. She loves cooking for family and friends.
